The Self-Esteem Song

Self-Esteem is a conceptual, psychological construct that encompasses an emotional reaction to our critical thinking related to our own talents, abilities, dreams and more. Then, we express those thoughts and emotions through selected behaviors.

NO ONE can impact your self-esteem OTHER than YOU. NO ONE. So stop blaming others for hurting your self-esteem. Only you can believe and act like you are awesome or suck, talented or a fraud, successful or a complete and utter failure.

If you think that you are a great ___________________________ (fill in the blank) than your emotional and behavioral stability and experiences rise instantly – as does your “self-esteem.” Think/evaluate and you will feel.

If you think that you suck at ____________________________ (fill in the blank) than your emotional and behavioral stability and experiences decrease rapidly – as does your “self-esteem.” Think/evaluate and you will feel.

It’s THAT simple. Really.

Think you are awesome, will succeed and are good then viola you feel good, act confident and get shit done. If you think you are horrible, will fail and suck then viola you feel crappy and lay around the house all day wallowing in your own stinkin’ misery.

So, when you self-esteem is in the toilet, try this….
