First of all, let’s clear one thing up:
I don’t know any person living on this rock who has NEVER, EVER been a pissed-off, angry person.
WE ARE ALL ANGRY at one time or another. Only the weak and assholes deny that they are “an angry person.”
Comes with the territory of being human. Anger is NATURAL! Anger is NORMAL! Anger is HUMAN! So, let yourself off the hook, don’t worry about whether or not you are or are not an angry person.
You are.
Let’s just get that said right here and right now. We all are angry people because we are human. We think. We feel emotions. We act. And thus you will act in angry, frustrated, annoyed, piss-ed off ways from time to time.
I believe, with every fiber of my being, that if YOU, me, our friends and family:
- heal what HURTS and
- manage what SCARES (the shit out of us)
we all can reduce and, dare I even say it, eliminate the ineffective and unhealthy outcomes that occur because of anger behaviors.
Notice, I did not say, eliminate and/or reduce ANGER behaviors. I said, eliminate and/or reduce the ineffective and unhealthy outcomes of your anger behaviors. You eliminate ANGER behaviors when you die.
And anger is NOT the enemy.
Again, anger is natural. Anger is normal.
And anger is/will be a focus on this blog.
